La Campania is more than just an eatery. Our authentic Neapolitan cooking made with only freshest ingredients tastes even better when you gather around an antique dining room table and are surrounded by the simple items of rural Italian life.
Kitchen
The tools of the trade in the kitchen are just as authentic as the furniture in the dining rooms. Our wood burning brick oven was built by an artisan who was brought over from Italy. This unique oven is instrumental in making several of our authentic Italian dishes and imparts a wonderful wood flavor in our pizzas. We also cook with a wood burning grill that infuses meats with a wonderful smoky flavor that go well with some of our big red wines like Barolo, Brunello, and Amarone.
Accolades
La Campania has been consistently been listed among Zagat’s top restaurants in Boston. Last year we were rated #1 in Zagat’s Top Food classification. Our wine list has also received a Wine Spectator Award for excellence for the last five years, and we’re listed in the Boston Business Journal as one of Boston’s most popular restaurants.
Team
For me, La Campania has always been about people—the ones who eat here as well as the ones that work here. I firmly believe we’ve been successful because of our great core of people who make a significant commitment to be part of our team. In fact, I’m proud to call them part of my family.
The concepts of “team work” and “hard work” have always been sacred to me. Growing up with parents who grew up in post war Italy and left their home looking for a better life sort of instills that in you.
The kitchen staff have the same passion and quality standards that my parents taught me. And while some were professionally trained, others have endured all of their training under this very roof! They work together like a finely tuned orchestra.
Jacinto and Jose have been here since we first opened our doors. Jennifer has been baking pastries, breads (and many other delicious things as well!!) for the last seven years. Jesus and Martin have also been here from pretty much the start as well.
It’s their hard work and commitment to team work that has made this a great place for me to work and him given me a strong sense of accomplishment and pride.
